Scarborough teacher accused of assaulting 8 girls

Police have arrested a 53-year-old public school teacher accused of assaulting eight girls at a Scarborough elementary school.
It’s alleged the assaults happened at Edgewood Public School, near Midland Avenue and Ellesmere Road, between September and this month.
Officers arrested Remy Perry, a Toronto resident, on Friday and charged him with three counts each of sexual assault and sexual interference, four counts of assault, and assault with a weapon.
He appeared in court on Friday morning.
Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information to call them.
