Police arrest 13- and 15-year-old in east-end parking garage assault, robbery

Two young offenders have been arrested in connection with the beating and robbery of a woman in an underground parking garage.
Police say the 13- and 15-year-old were located in the same area as the victim’s vehicle, adding they are still searching as many as two, possibly, three additional suspects.
Just before midnight on Tuesday, a woman was driving her BMW into her apartment building’s parking garage on Lawrence Avenue East, near Orton Park Road, west of Morningside Avenue when she was followed in by another vehicle, a black Nissan SUV.
Police say as she exited her car, she was assaulted by the three male occupants in the other vehicle. She was struck in the head with a large stick.
The suspects stole her purse and fled the scene in her car.
A fourth male was in the SUV when the alleged assault took place and drove away as well.
Police are looking for the grey BMW, with licence plate BTPC135, as well as the suspects in the SUV.
The woman was taken to hospital with minor head injuries and is expected to recover.
